Latin: wander without purpose

I like a word like ‘vagus.’ It can have a double meaning: wandering, roving, rambling; or to let the (frivolous) mind wander. The same reason I like ‘ruminate,’ meaning either ‘to think’ or ‘to chew.’ It fits these drawings of Hobbs, from the comic, Calvin & Hobbs, of which I’m a big fan. Thinking about food?
