Autumn Has Fall-en

This week, the trees here in Southern Hungary have started to change, which seems awful late to me. When I would spend the summer in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, I would be asked to stay-on for the ‘Leaf Peeping’ season, that usually began in mid-September. I thought it would be the same here in this part of Europe, as this is more on the latitudinal lines of Canada. I dare say it has as much to do with New England being close to the Atlantic, no? Whereas Hungary is a landlocked country far from an open body of water. And although the colors aren’t as sharp as those on the Eastern Seaboard, they are still a lovely diversion from the coming harsh winter.
